From Design to Fabrication
Through Gora & Heasley, our studio designs and produces furniture for hospitality, residential, and retail projects, working with our partner workshop in New Delhi.
Some furniture is straightforward to make.
The work we pursue often isn’t.
Through Gora & Heasley we develop furniture that relies on skilled craftsmanship—hand carving, wood turning, cane and wicker work, detailed upholstery, leather work, and complex finishes. These techniques allow designers and brands to move beyond standard production and create pieces with real character.
As a designer, I understand the creative and technical demands of developing furniture for real projects. My experience in FF&E management also means we understand the practical realities of the business—budgets, timelines, procurement, and production. Kirk’s background in sales and client relations ensures clear communication and attentive service throughout the process, while our production partner Paul Thomas oversees fabrication in India and maintains strict adherence to our clients’ quality standards.
Alongside our workshop, we collaborate with an extensive network of specialized manufacturers and artisans across India, coordinated by Paul in New Delhi. This structure allows us to produce both highly crafted pieces and larger project quantities, while connecting designers, retailers, and procurement teams with the right makers for specialized work.
We work exclusively with the trade—supporting designers, procurement teams, and brands from concept through fabrication.
What we Can Make
Our gallery presents furniture produced by our partner Paul for clients in Bangalore, through his workshop Tom Hermes. These pieces reflect the kind of work we have helped design and produce across hospitality, residential, and retail environments.
The pieces highlight the craftsmanship we specialize in—from high-quality upholstery and leather work to carving, wood turning, and cane and wicker weaving. These are techniques that require skilled makers and careful production, allowing designers and brands to create furniture that stands apart from standard manufacturing.
